The death has occurred of barrister Conor B. Fahy.

Former solicitor June O’Connell has passed away at the age of 55. 

Former High Court judge Mr Bernand Barton has passed away after a short illness. 

Former Supreme Court judge Hugh O’Flaherty has passed away at the age of 88. 

Brian Walker BL passed away on Monday 20 July at home, surrounded by his family. The beloved husband of Carol and loving father of Alison and Shane, he will be missed by his family, his sister Joan, brother-in-law Dermot, nephews Ben and Sam, the extended family, friends and colleagues.

Retired barrister Brian E. Spierin SC has passed away. Mr Spierin maintained a practice at the Bar from 1985, calling to the Inner Bar in 1999 and retiring in July 2022.

Retired Co Cork solicitor Miriam Morley has passed away. Mrs Morley was a solicitor at Midleton firm W St Clair Rice & Co, which merged with Eoin Murphy Solicitors in 2022 to become Murphy Rice & Co.

Cork solicitor David Gaffney has passed away. A specialist in employment law, Mr Gaffney was founder and principal solicitor of Gaffney Solicitors from its establishment in 2015 until it was wound down in 2024.

Mayo barrister Darragh McDonagh BL has passed away. Mr McDonagh passed away on 1 January after an illness and was buried in his home town of Kiltimagh on Sunday.

A funeral for the late Niav O'Higgins will take place on Saturday 13 December in Dublin. Ms O'Higgins, who led the construction and engineering group at Arthur Cox until her retirement last summer, passed away on Tuesday.

Former Arthur Cox partner Niav O'Higgins has passed away. Ms O'Higgins spent two decades with Arthur Cox and led the firm's construction and engineering group until her retirement in July 2024, after which she continued to work as an adjudicator in construction disputes.

Limerick solicitor Rachael O'Shaughnessy has passed away. Mrs O'Shaughnessy was a partner at HOMS Assist, which has closed its offices today as her funeral takes place.

Cork solicitor Padraig Sheehan has passed away. Mr Sheehan, who established Padraig J. Sheehan Solicitors in Douglas in 2009, passed away on Monday 10 November.

William Hamilton BL has passed away. Mr Hamilton called to the bar in 1997 after studying at the King's Inns, having graduated with a degree in finance from Trinity College Dublin.
