Julie Galbraith appointed GC and chief business officer at Arachas

Former Eversheds Sutherland partner Julie Galbraith has joined Arachas, Ireland’s largest nationwide insurance broker, as chief business officer and general counsel.

Ms Galbraith will oversee the company’s legal, human resources, and marketing and communications functions.

She will also play a central role in shaping the long-term strategic direction of the business, ensuring operational excellence, strong governance, and continued delivery of high-quality service to customers.

Ms Galbraith was previously a partner at international law firm Eversheds Sutherland LLP and led its employment law practice.

She is also on the board of Croke Park Stadium and plays an active role in the governance of the Gaelic Athletic Association, serving on the Central Hearings Committee.

A graduate of Trinity College Dublin and a qualified solicitor, she brings extensive expertise in employment law, regulatory matters and corporate governance.

Originally from Donegal, she is also deeply committed to supporting strong workplace culture and organisational resilience.

Ms Galbraith previously advised Arachas for over 12 years in an external capacity before stepping into the executive leadership position.
