A&L Goodbody (ALG) has welcomed nine new trainee solicitors and one Law Degree Apprentice to its Belfast office, as the firm continues to invest in the development of the next generation of legal talent in Northern Ireland.

The new recruits will undertake structured development programmes combining practical experience, formal learning and mentoring, giving them the opportunity to build their legal, commercial and technical skills while working alongside experienced lawyers across a range of practice areas.

The new intake reflects ALG’s commitment to creating a range of routes into the legal profession. Alongside its established trainee solicitor programme, the firm’s Law Degree Apprenticeship offers an alternative pathway for talented young people seeking to build a career in law while combining academic study with practical workplace experience.

Gareth Walls, partner at A&L Goodbody’s Belfast office, said: “We are delighted to welcome our new trainees and Law Degree Apprentice to A&L Goodbody. Starting a career in law is an exciting milestone, and we want to give our people the experience, support and opportunities they need to build rewarding and successful careers.

“Developing the next generation of legal talent is hugely important to us. They will learn from some of the best lawyers in the market, gain experience working with leading clients and, importantly, be encouraged to develop the confidence, commercial awareness and skills that will serve them throughout their careers.

“We look forward to seeing each of them develop and make their own contribution to the future of the firm.”
