Limerick solicitor Rachael O’Shaughnessy has passed away.
Mrs O’Shaughnessy was a partner at HOMS Assist, which has closed its offices today as her funeral takes place.
A graduate of the University of Limerick, she qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and joined HOMS Assist in 2015.
She was promoted to partner in 2021, leading the firm’s provision of medical negligence services.
Mrs O’Shaughnessy passed away on Thursday 27 November 2025.
“It is with profound regret that we at HOMS Assist have learned of the sudden death of our friend and colleague Rachael O’Shaughnessy,” the firm said in a statement yesterday.
“We wish to extend our deepest sympathies to all of her family and friends. Rachael will be deeply missed by all at HOMS Assist.”
Her funeral service is taking place in Abundant Life Christian Church, Henry Street, Limerick today at 12:30pm, followed by burial in Castlemungret Cemetery, Mungret.
