Law Society of Ireland team wins 2023 Michael Peart Challenge Cup

Trainee solicitors Steven Scanlan, Andrea Whelton, Niamh Ferry and Sarah Courtney have emerged as winners of the 2023 Michael Peart Challenge Cup.
Mr Scanlan, of RDJ, and Ms Whelton, Ms Ferry and Ms Courtney, all of Arthur Cox, represented the Law Society of Ireland at the competition in Belfast.
This cross-border competition is a collaboration between the Law Society of Ireland and the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) at Queen’s University Belfast.
The competition promotes the value of resolving disputes through mediation, and is designed to help trainee solicitors from both institutions to develop their mediation skills in tandem with receiving feedback from expert practitioners.
