The newly promoted senior associates are Jo Kane, Rebecca Clabby, Bella Chan and Aoife Cooney.
Ms Kane advises on EU and Irish competition and regulatory law, and has developed a wide variety of sector experience, including advising on large, complex international deals and mandates.
Ms Clabby is a corporate lawyer with a strong focus on M&A across various sectors including energy.
Ms Chan advises Irish and international corporate and regulated clients on complex contentious matters and on risk and crisis management in the context of product liability, health and safety, and also in the context of corporate, financial services and insurance disputes, regulatory investigations and judicial review.
Ms Cooney has a broad banking and finance practice with significant recent experience of project financing in the renewable energy sector.
Today’s announcement follows the firm’s recent promotion of employment lawyer Orla O’Leary and energy and infrastructure finance lawyer Seán McGrenaghan to the firm’s global equity partnership, as well as its recent recruitment of Chris Jessup as partner in its litigation and regulatory practice.
David Carthy, country managing partner for DLA Piper in Ireland, said: “We are delighted to see six exceptional and well-deserving individuals take the next step in their careers at DLA Piper.
“Oisín, Claire, Jo, Rebecca, Bella and Aoife exemplify the calibre of talent and commitment that underpin our continued success. Their promotions are a direct reflection of the strength of our business, the growing scale of our work in Ireland, and the increasing confidence our clients place in us.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to each of them and look forward to their continued impact on our firm and our clients.”
He added: “As we continue to expand our presence in Ireland, building a high-performing, future-focused team remains central to our strategy.
“These promotions, together with the recent partner appointments of Orla, Seán and Chris, reinforce our ambition to grow with purpose and ensure we are well positioned to meet the evolving and increasingly complex needs of our clients.”
