BHSM advises Welltel on acquisition of ANS

BHSM LLP has acted for Welltel, Ireland’s largest dedicated business communications provider, in its acquisition of ANS, an Irish cloud, security and managed IT services specialist.

Headquartered in Ballycoolin, Dublin, ANS has integrated into the Welltel organisation with immediate effect. Its 10 employees will join the existing Welltel team, increasing Welltel’s workforce to over 200 people.

ANS has over 18 years of expertise in assessing, improving and managing IT infrastructure to maximise business performance for customers.

This acquisition will enhance Welltel’s offering and enable it to deliver its integrated communications, telephony, cloud solutions, and managed IT services on a larger scale.

Corporate partner Eimear Grealy led the BHSM team advising Welltel on the transaction.

LK Shields acts for Aleph Group in acquisition of Ad Dynamo

LK Shields Solicitors LLP has acted for Aleph Group, Inc, a global enabler of digital advertising, on the Irish aspects of its acquisition of Ad Dynamo.

Ad Dynamo is an exclusive partner to Twitter, Snapchat, Spotify and Verizon Media in the wider African region. Based in South Africa, it has UK and Irish subsidiaries.

In 2021, Aleph Group, Inc, was valued at $2 billion with an expanded footprint reaching over 90 markets, spanning 43 different currencies to reach close to 3 billion consumers.

M&A partner Jennifer McGuire led the LK shields team with assistance from senior associate James Byrne and associate solicitor Paul Dineen in the corporate and commercial team.

Dillon Eustace acts as Irish legal adviser to Adit Ventures

Dillon Eustace LLP has advised Adit Ventures on the launch of a new investment limited partnership (ILP) called Adit Global Growth.

Adit Global Growth was authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as a closed-ended investment limited partnership on 8 February 2022.

Dillon Eustace partner Colman O’Loghlen and solicitors Eva Shine and Barry O’Reilly advised Adit Ventures on the launch.

The ILP was authorised under the new legislative and regulatory regime introduced by the Investment Limited Partnership (Amendment) Act 2020 which came into force in early 2021.

Hayes advises insurance broker Lockton on double acquisition

Hayes solicitors LLP has advised insurance broker Lockton Ireland on its acquisition of health advisory consultant Total Health Cover and financial broker Independent Financial Advisory Trust (Ifat).

The acquisitions will see Lockton’s Irish revenues rise to about €7 million for the financial year ending April 2023, according to The Irish Times.

Ken Casey, partner and head of the corporate team at Hayes solicitors, led the team advising Lockton on both transactions.
