Two wins for A&L Goodbody at diversity and inclusion awards
A&L Goodbody has won two awards at the prestigious National Diversity & Inclusion Awards held in Dublin.
The firm won in the categories of Advancing Social Inclusion and Advancing LGBTQ+ Inclusion, following its previous recognition as Company of the Year in last year’s awards.
In winning the Advancing Social Inclusion award, the judges commended ALG for its long-term social mobility strategy and person-centred programmes that offer young people in the community seamless pathways through ALG’s education and employment initiatives.
In awarding Advancing LGBTQ+ Inclusion, the judges highlighted ALG’s high‑impact pro bono legal work focused on advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion by directly supporting refugees and young people facing homelessness and ALG’s sustained support for civil society.
Welcoming the awards, ALG’s managing partner, David Widger, said: “It’s such an achievement for us to win these two awards.
“They recognise not just our dedicated social mobility, pro bono and LGBTQ+ programmes, but everyone across our firm who consistently drive this work forward and make a real impact in our society.
“It’s a great start of the year for us, having had such a stellar year for recognition of our diversity, equality and inclusion programmes in 2025.
“We know there’s more we can do to become a more inclusive firm and make a lasting impact on our society.”
The National Diversity & Inclusion Awards is Ireland’s foremost DEI awards and is organised by the Irish Centre for Diversity.
