Wilson Nesbitt announces seven promotions

Northern Ireland firm Wilson Nesbitt has announced seven promotions following growth across its real estate and construction, banking and financials services, and individual and family life sectors.

Leo Morrison has been promoted to senior associate. Working in the criminal defence team, he has extensive experience in fraud, motoring offences and white-collar crime.

Four lawyers — Hannah Simpson, Lynsey McWhinney, Shannon McLorie and Rowan Gibney — have been appointed as associates.

Ms Simpson works in the personal injury and negligence team, with extensive experience in medical negligence, work accidents, road traffic accidents and industrial diseases claims.

Ms McWhinney works in the residential lender services team, specialising in acting for lenders taking security over residential property and separate representation purchase transactions.

Ms McLorie works in the divorce, civil partnership and family law team and has extensive experience in family matters.

Mr Gibney assists on commercial lending and real estate finance transactions. He acts for a number of local and UK financial institutions on real estate finance transactions secured against Northern Irish property.

Two lawyers, Izabela Treacy and Daniel McCracken, have been promoted to senior solicitor.

Ms Treacy is a member of the real estate team and advises on development, investment and landlord and tenant transactions.

Mr McCracken works in the wills, trusts and estate disputes team, specialising in will disputes, financial provision claims and trust and land disputes.
