Two firms appointed to legal panel for road victims in Northern Ireland

Law firms Millar McCall Wylie and Paschal O’Hare Personal Injury Solicitors have come together with road safety charity Brake to offer specialist legal support to victims of bereavement and catastrophic injury following road crashes.

The two firms have been selected for the new legal panel, co-ordinated by Brake, in recognition of their extensive experience in helping road crash victims, who have complex legal needs and require help from specialist lawyers.

Since the charity was set up in 1996, Brake has helped more than 50,000 victims across the UK through provision of vital information and caseworker care. All police forces across the UK distribute information about Brake’s services to road victim families, and the service works increasingly in close partnership with police family liaison officers.

Patrick O’Hare, managing partner at Paschal O’Hare, said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Brake’s National Road Victim Service, solidifying our commitment to supporting injured individuals across Northern Ireland.”

He added: “At Paschal O’Hare, we understand the profound consequences that road crashes can have on individuals and their families. Our mission has always been to provide compassionate guidance and practical solutions to those in need.

“We look forward to exploring the possibilities that this partnership brings, as we strive to create a positive impact on the lives of those who have been affected by road traffic crashes in Northern Ireland.”

Director Caroline Prunty at Millar McCall Wylie said: “Millar McCall Wylie is very proud to be part of the Northern Ireland legal panel that will support Brake in its important work for road victims and their families in Northern Ireland. As experienced personal injury lawyers, we see upfront the emotional and financial distress that road traffic collisions can have on peoples’ lives.

“The impact of such an incident can range from the minor to the devastating, and at every stage of that spectrum, we offer supportive, straightforward legal advice to those involved. We are glad to be extending our services to more people affected by road traffic collisions through our partnership with Brake.”

Ross Moorlock, interim CEO at Brake, added: “We are delighted to come together with Millar McCall Wylie and Paschal O’Hare Solicitors to help people bereaved or catastrophically injured in road crashes to access specialist legal support. We look forward to working with these firms to coordinate this support in Northern Ireland.”
