Tickets are now on sale for the Society of Young Solicitors (SYS) annual conference.
The SYS Conference is the highlight of the SYS calendar and is a great opportunity for young lawyers to build and maintain networks with colleagues at their own level while gaining insights into the latest legal developments. The 2026 Conference is being held at Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel on Saturday 10 October.
The theme for this year is ‘The Times They Are A-Changing: The Role of the Lawyer in Ireland’s Evolving Legal Landscape’.
The SYS have a fantastic line-up of speakers organised to discuss this topic including; Mr Justice David Barniville, President of the High Court and Noeline Blackwell, human rights lawyer, former director general of FLAC, and former chief executive of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
The conference is a one-day event comprising 3 hours of CPD-eligible talks and discussions, a three-course dinner and banquet dinner.
The conference and evening celebrations will celebrate the SYS’s contribution to the legal profession and its continued role in supporting the next generation of solicitors.
