Mr Creighton died peacefully at Marie Curie Hospice on 23 December 2023 and his funeral took place at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church and Roselawn Cemetery on Tuesday.

He founded Creighton & Company Solicitors, located on Bloomfield Avenue, in 1987.

Paying tribute, the Law Society of Northern Ireland said: “He was well known and respected for his passion for family law, human rights and supporting asylum applicants.

“The Law Society of Northern Ireland offers its deepest condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.”
