OUTLaw Network announces participation in first European LGBTQ+ Lawyers Association Conference
The OUTLaw Network is to be part of the first European LGBTQ+ Lawyers Association (ELLA) Conference which will take place in London on Thursday 17 September and Friday 18 September 2026. The ELLA Conference will bring together LGBTQ+ legal professionals, students, judges, civil society partners and academics from across Europe for two days of learning, networking and meaningful conversation.
It will be attended by key firms from London and across Europe and will feature events, breakout sessions and speakers on issues from asylum law and questions of employment and discrimination affecting the LGBTQ+ community, to the impact of colonial powers on LGBTQ+ rights around the world. The conference will also feature several Irish speakers including a keynote speech from Dr Katherine Zappone and panel discussions including former chairperson of the OUTLaw Network, Maeve Delargy and High Court judge Max Barrett.
ELLA is a pan-European network of national LGBTQ+ lawyers’ associations, law firms and individuals advocating for equality and inclusion with global partners. This growing network now spans more than 11 countries, and the OUTLaw Network is a founding member. A&L Goodbody are a silver sponsor for the inaugural year.
Those who wish to attend should register before the 31 August.
