Limerick solicitors presented a cheque for €3,000 to charity Children at Risk in Ireland (CARI) after a successful fundraising night.

The Limerick Solicitors’ Bar Association (LSBA) hosted the table quiz fundraiser at the Limerick Lawn Tennis Club in May, raising over €1,600.

Solicitor Ger O’Neill of local firm O’Neill & Company Solicitors, who served as “quizmaster extraordinaire” on the night, joined LSBA honorary secretary Derek Walsh to present the cheque to Mary Madden from CARI this week.

Commenting, Mr Walsh, a solicitor at Keating Connolly Sellors, told Irish Legal News: “The Limerick Solicitors Bar Association were delighted to host a table quiz to raise funds and awareness for CARI.

“CARI provides specialised therapy and support to children, families and groups affected by child sexual abuse. The services that CARI provides is invaluable and hard work and dedication of all the staff is truly commendable.

“We were delighted to raise €1,600 from the table quiz, which the LSBA topped up to €3,000.”
