Mr Allamby is joined on the charity’s council by Axiom Advocates’ Almira Delibegović-Broome KC; Amanda Finlay CBE, chair of Law for Life; Saima Hanif KC, of 3 Verulam Buildings; Alexandra Marks CBE, recorder and deputy High Court judge and retired partner at Linklaters LLP; Kathleen Russ, of Travers Smith LLP and Maryann McMahon, former head of litigation for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions at Morgan Stanley.

JUSTICE’s chief executive, Fiona Rutherford, said: “As a UK-wide charity, it is vital that our governance and membership reflects the breadth of the justice sector and stretches across and represents the whole of the UK.

“We are thrilled to welcome our new board and council members, who bring with them experience from a variety of careers and jurisdictions, with expertise which will enrichen and inform our work. I look forward to working with them all.”
