The Sligo Solicitors Bar Association (SSBA) welcomed the senior leadership of the Law Society of Ireland yesterday for a Q&A event with local solicitors.
Law Society president Eamon Harrington and director general Mark Garrett met with members of the SSBA at an event in Sligo’s Glasshouse Hotel yesterday.
SSBA president Caroline McLaughlin welcomed the pair on behalf of the association, after which both guests gave an update and took questions from the audience.

Ms McLaughlin told Irish Legal News: “It is important for our members and for the clients we represent to have meetings of this nature in our locality. It gives an opportunity to raise any concerns and make representations.
“We are very grateful to the president and director general for taking the time to visit Sligo and for updating us on developments within the Law Society and matters impacting the legal profession.”
Sligo Solicitors Bar Association is the representative association for solicitors in the town and county of Sligo.
