Eversheds Sutherland (International) has reported a 13 per cent increase in net profit to £209.4 million after revenue rose eight per cent to £827.1m in its latest financial year.
Profit per equity partner also increased by 14 per cent to £1.61m for the 2025/26 financial year. The firm said the results reflected growth across all of its practice areas and regions, with a particularly strong performance in corporate finance.
Keith Froud, chief executive of Eversheds Sutherland (International), said the figures represented “the first full year of our Global Strategy 2029” and demonstrated the firm’s continued investment in its people, capabilities and client relationships.
He said: “This excellent performance reflects the commitment and collaboration of our teams around the world, the trust our clients continue to place in us, and our relentless focus on implementing our strategy.”
Eversheds Sutherland said demand from clients for advice on “significant and complex matters” was increasing, with many mandates requiring collaboration across jurisdictions, practices and sectors.
The firm also highlighted a year of investment in recruitment and technology, including the appointment of 37 lateral partners across its practice groups and regions – its highest number in a single year and double the previous financial year’s figure. A further 25 lawyers were promoted to partner.
The firm said its “Year of AI” strategy had accelerated its use of technology, with more than 2,000 lawyers now using AI platform Harvey as part of their daily practice following a firmwide training programme.
Mr Froud said the firm would continue investing in its international platform as it sought to combine global reach with local expertise. He said: “We enter the new financial year with strong momentum and confidence in our strategy, and are ready to ‘go again’.”
