Mr McDonagh passed away on 1 January after an illness and was buried in his home town of Kiltimagh on Sunday.

Educated at Trinity College Dublin and the King’s Inns, Mr McDonagh called to the Bar in 2021 and maintained a general practice.

He also lectured on contract law and land law at Independent College.
