Community Law & Mediation appoints Louisa McGeehan as chief operating officer

Community Law & Mediation (CLM) has appointed Louisa McGeehan as its first-ever chief operating officer.

Ms McGeehan brings a wealth of experience in UK charities, having previously worked as CEO of Just for Kids Law and as director of policy, rights and advocacy at the Child Poverty Action Group.

Commenting on the appointment, Aoife Kelly-Desmond, CEO, said: “On behalf of all of the team at Community Law & Mediation, I am delighted to welcome Louisa as the organisation’s first-ever chief operating officer.

“At an exciting time of development for CLM, and particularly as we seek to grow and embed our children’s law service, Louisa, and the experience she brings, will play a key role in advancing the organisation’s strategic objectives and strengthening our work.”

Ms McGeehan said: “I am really pleased to join the team at Community Law & Mediation at such a pivotal moment, as the organisation celebrates its 50-year legacy and looks build on that strong foundation.

“I look forward to working with Aoife and the team to further develop and enhance CLM’s legal and mediation services, as well as its community education programmes, in response to the evolving needs of the communities we serve.”
