NI: Belfast solicitors raise £1,000 for local homelessness charity

The Belfast Solicitors Association (BSA) raised almost £1,000 for a local homelessness charity after organising a pub quiz.

Six teams competed at The House Pub & Kitchen in Stramillis, which provided the quiz master and nibbles, and raised a total of £926.99 for The Welcome Organisation.

Winning team No Brain No Pain were awarded a limited edition bottle of Absolut vodka from Libra, a four ball from Shandon Golf Club, afternoon tea at The Merchant Hotel, and a £30 Flame voucher from Abacus Recruitment.

Quiz Akabusi, in second place, won a three-course Deanes at Queens lunch donated by Michael Deane, a meal at The Albany donated by Jennifer Ferguson, and a £30 Waterfront Hall voucher from Abacus Recruitment.

Third place team “I don’t like this team” included the Law Society’s Jennifer Ferguson and President John Guerin, BLM’s Fintan Canavan, and Cathedral Law’s Richard McLaughlin.

They won a three-course lunch at James Street South and two exclusive bottles of red wine donated by Murland Solicitors.
