NI: BBC probes lack of specific stalking legislation

The lack of specific legislation concerning stalking in Northern Ireland was the subject of a BBC Spotlight NI programme aired last night.

In the half-hour programme, BBC reporter Stephen Dempster speaks to victims of survivors who say the law has let them down, and hears the views of legal professionals.

He speaks to lawyers including Ciarán Moynagh of McLernon Moynagh Solicitors in Belfast.

Following the broadcast, Justice Minister Claire Sugden has confirmed she will meet with campaigners to discuss the law.
