Fergus Beeley, producer of some David Attenborough nature documentaries, has been subject to online mockery after a video emerged of him screaming at a family in a supermarket car park.

He attempts to put the driver under a citizen’s arrest, announcing: “Put your hands on the car and get ready to die - this is a citizen’s arrest!”

Later pointing at the man, the woman and their 11-year-old grandson, he screams: “You’re under a citizen’s arrest, you’re under a citizen’s arrest - and I tell you what, you are, too!”

When police arrived at the car park near Southampton, nobody was taken into custody, but assault allegations by both men were recorded.
