A&L Goodbody’s Belfast office has announced a new two-year charity partnership with Northern Ireland Hospice.
NI Hospice is the only service of its kind in Northern Ireland providing specialist palliative care for both children and adults with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses. The hospice’s services include specialist nursing care at home, supported short breaks at the In-Patient Unit, end-of-life care and family and bereavement support.
ALG’s 140-strong team in Belfast will take part in fundraising for the charity as well as providing legal expertise on a pro bono basis.
Clare Johnston, corporate relationship manager at NI Hospice, said: “A huge and heartfelt thanks to our partner A&L Goodbody.
“Their generous support for NI Hospice over this two-year partnership will enable us to continue providing our specialist palliative care for children and adults with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses.
“We are excited to partner with a well-known and prestigious legal firm, such as A&L Goodbody, and look forward to exploring opportunities to work together over the coming months.”
Michael Neill, head of ALG’s Belfast office, said: “ALG has always been committed to investing in the passions and interests of our employees and clients — be that in sport, the arts or charitable and community endeavours.
“Through our responsible business programme, we have been proud to partner with several charities and social enterprises working across Northern Ireland, including the Welcome Organisation, Business in the Community NI, Arts & Business NI, Aspiring Solicitors, Inspire and Simon Community NI.
“We very much look forward to working with NI Hospice in this latest partnership.”
