A&L Goodbody has returned as title sponsor of Dublin’s largest corporate 5K run, the 2026 ALG5K Corporate Team Challenge.
The annual event in the Docklands, delivered in partnership with Athletics Ireland, takes place this year on Tuesday 8 September 2026.
From seasoned runners to first-time participants, the event welcomes corporate teams, family teams, sports clubs and individual entrants, all united by a shared goal: moving together.
Teams of four compete across male, female and mixed categories, with accurate chip timing ensuring every effort counts. Individual runners are also welcome, with results contributing to the overall competition.
The 2026 event will be led by returning ambassador David Gillick, two-time European indoor champion and Olympian, who will inspire participants to embrace the benefits of physical activity – both inside and outside the workplace.
“The ALG5K is a brilliant example of how businesses can promote health, teamwork and balance in a really positive way,” Mr Gillick said.
“It’s about switching off from the desk, reconnecting with colleagues and enjoying the buzz of achieving something together. Whether you’re chasing a PB or just crossing the line, this event is for everyone.”
David Widger, managing partner at A&L Goodbody, said: “We’re proud to continue our support of the ALG5K – an event that reflects our commitment to wellbeing, teamwork and community.
“The ALG5K provides a brilliant opportunity for businesses to connect, recharge and make a positive impact together.”
Hamish Adams, chief executive of Athletics Ireland, added: “The ALG5K is one of the most important dates in the social running calendar. A&L Goodbody’s continued support allows us to invest in future generations of athletes while promoting healthier, more active workplaces across Ireland.”
