Addleshaw Goddard’s Irish office last week welcomed more than 1,500 lawyers from the firm’s international network to Dublin.

Friday marked the first time that the Dublin office has hosted the firm’s “group away days”, which until now have only taken place in the UK.

Addleshaw Goddard expanded into Ireland in 2022 through a merger with Eugene F Collins — described at the time as the largest-ever merger between a UK-based law firm and an Irish practice.

More than 1,500 lawyers from the firm’s network of 21 offices across Ireland, the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia participated in the away day at the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road in Dublin.

In a statement, Addleshaw Goddard said: “This is the first time the firm has hosted its group away days outside the UK, reflecting its ambitious international growth strategy, focus on cross-border collaboration and emphasising Ireland’s position as a strategic hub for Addleshaw Goddard.”
