International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Jack Kennedy as partner in its construction and engineering practice in Ireland.
Mr Kennedy, the second partner to join the team this year, brings a wealth of experience advising on non-contentious construction law, development financings, and property transactions.
He will work closely with Margaret Austin, partner and head of construction and engineering, and Killian Maher, construction and engineering partner, enhancing the firm’s ability to support clients through increasingly complex infrastructure and development projects.
Current clients supported by Addleshaw Goddard Ireland include Tuath Housing Association, The Land Development Agency, Home Building Finance Ireland, the Mercantile Group, Fold Housing Association, Kennedy Wilson, Hines and Bank of Ireland.
Previously at A&L Goodbody, Mr Kennedy was notably a primary advisor to one of Ireland’s largest privately owned residential developers across all aspects of the development of their landbanks. This included advising on numerous forward funds, forward sales, development financings and negotiating construction contracts.
Mark Walsh, head of Ireland at Addleshaw Goddard, said: “Jack joins our construction and engineering team at a time when the construction market in Ireland continues to perform strongly.
“With his extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the sector, Jack will undoubtedly be a valuable addition, enhancing our team’s capabilities and strengthening our client offering.
“His appointment reflects our ongoing investment in growing and developing our construction expertise, and we look forward to the contributions he will bring.”
Mr Kennedy said: “Addleshaw Goddard has experienced strong momentum in Ireland over the last few years and admirably continues to go from strength to strength across a range of industries, particularly the construction market.
“I am excited to join the team and look forward to working closely with my colleagues in Ireland and internationally to deliver valuable insights and strategic advice for our clients in what is an ever-growing market.”
