Belfast and Newtownwards firm Worthingtons Solicitors has announced the appointment of John Kelly as a solicitor in the firm’s employment law department.

Maxine Orr, head of the employment law department, said: “John is a highly experienced employment lawyer and we are thrilled he is joining our practice as a fantastic addition to our already strong Employment Law team.”

Mr Kelly joins Worthingtons from a large UK firm where he gained three years’ experience as an employment solicitor in the Belfast office.

Over the last three years, he has gained experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law work, focussing on the defence of tribunal proceedings across the UK.

Mr Kelly has also advised on employment issues arising in the context of corporate/property transactions.

Mr Kelly graduated from the University of Manchester in 2010 with a degree in Law and qualified from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s University Belfast as a solicitor in 2013.
