Ukrainian judges welcomed to Leinster House
Dozens of Ukrainian judges were welcomed to Leinster House this week to deepen their understanding of the foundations of parliamentarism in Ireland.
The Office of the Parliamentary Legal Advisers (OPLA) in the Houses of the Oireachtas hosted the delegation of 44 Ukrainian judges on Monday.
The delegation was met by Mellissa English SC, chief parliamentary legal adviser, and Kieran Mooney, parliamentary legislative drafter, who gave a presentation on the work of in-house lawyers within the Irish Parliament.
The delegation included the president of Zakarpattya Appeal Court and judges of the Central Appeal Commercial Court, Kharkiv Appeal Court, 8th Appeal Administrative Court, Zakarpattya Appeal Court, and the Dniprovskyy Appeal Court.
