UCD appoints Dr Katie Nolan as assistant professor in law and technology
UCD Sutherland School of Law has appointed Dr Katie Nolan as lecturer and assistant professor in law and technology.
Dr Nolan holds a Bachelor of Business and Law from UCD, a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford, a LLM from University of California, Berkeley and a PhD in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Dr Nolan is also a qualified solicitor in Ireland, having formerly practiced in a large commercial law firm in Dublin, specialising in data protection and technology law matters.
She previously held faculty positions at TU Dublin and Ulster University.
A spokesperson for UCD said: “We are so pleased to welcome a new colleague this term in this increasingly important area of law and technology. Dr Nolan will be teaching a wide range of modules at masters level, including patent law, foundations of technology law, technology and legal practice and internet content regulation.”
