Olivia O’Kane, David O’Malley and James Stewart were among those recognised at the awards ceremony in Rome at the end of November.

Now in their sixth year, the European Legal Awards are aimed at promoting excellence and knowledge through teaching, research, and proactive networking.

Ms O’Kane, who recently joined Lewis Silkin as a partner and head of its media law practice in Belfast and Dublin, won in the Media and Entertainment Law category.

The Medical Negligence Solicitor award went to Mr O’Malley, joint managing partner of Callan Tansey Solicitors LLP.

Mr Stewart, who hails from Northern Ireland and practises in London as a partner with Penningtons Manches Cooper, won in the Family Law category.
