Third series of the Irish Courts Podcast is released today
The third series of the Irish Courts Podcast is released today with the first episode looking at miscarriages of justice and the Lynskey case.
Following two successful series the Irish Courts podcast returns for a third series today with the opening episode bringing together Claire Hamilton, Mick Clifford and Remy Farrell SC to consider miscarriages of justice and the Lynskey case, one of Ireland’s most significant wrongful conviction cases and the decades-long fight to clear a man’s name.
Overseen by an editorial team of Judges and courts staff, and chaired by Mr Justice Cian Ferriter, the podcast has a broad appeal to both legal professionals and members of the public and will look at how significant cases have set the law that we have today.
Talking about Series 3 Mr Justice Cian Ferriter said: “We wanted to ensure that Series 3 would build on the quality and success of the episodes in Series 1 and 2 which have had over 15,000 downloads to date. In this new series, listeners will be able to enjoy thought-provoking and fascinating episodes covering topics ranging from miscarriages of justice and citizenship law, to sport, special education rights and the tort of criminal conversation where women were treated as the property of men”.
Listeners can look forward to 5 new episodes in Series 3, releasing every fortnight from today. With thoughtful insights and discussions this series explores some of the most fascinating legal issues in contemporary Irish history and society.
New episodes will be released every second Monday and will be available on Podbean.
