Trinity College Dublin (TCD) law students Kevin Flood and Colum Holland have triumphed in a moot court competition.

The contest, organised by TCD Law Society and sponsored by A&L Goodbody, commenced in October 2015 with 42 teams competing.

Mr Justice Seamus Noonan of the High Court and Joe Kelly, partner at A&L Goodbody, judged the final which took place this month.

It was an entertaining and professional performance as each of the speakers faced tough questions throughout their oral submissions.

Mr Flood and Mr Holland narrowly beat fellow students Andrew Heffernan and Nick Spare.

The winners received cash prizes of €250 each, while the runners up received €100 each.
