Solicitor Stephen Kelly has established a new legal practice in Dublin.
The new firm, Stephen Kelly Law on Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2, will offer services in the areas of criminal law, medical negligence, personal injury, defamation, data protection and residential tenancies law.
Mr Kelly qualified as a solicitor in May 2025 after training with Matheson. He previously worked in a number of different public service roles while studying law part-time.
Since qualifying, he has developed further experience in civil, and, in particular, criminal work, ranging from cases before the District Court to the Court of Appeal.
He has also been published on legal matters ranging from EU plans to confiscate Russian assets to how the legal system should handle ancient laws.
Mr Kelly said: “I had considered establishing my own firm for several years, and finally made the decision after detailed research and analysis of areas of legal need.
“I will be practising in the areas of criminal law, medical negligence, personal injury, defamation, data protection and residential tenancies law.
“I look forward to hearing from prospective clients either directly or from other practitioners who may require assistance in any of these areas, including standing in at Garda station detentions.”
