NI: Solicitor faces trial accused of stealing £250,000 from clients

Newtownards solicitor Elaine Mary Early has appeared in court accused of stealing over £250,000 from clients, the Belfast Telegraph reports.

Ms Early, 53, faces 12 counts of fraud, five counts of transferring criminal property and one count of theft before .

The offences are all alleged to have been committed between September 2014 and February 2016.

District Judge Paul Copeland, sitting in Newtownwards Magistrates Court, released Ms Early on bail of £750 and sent the case to Downpatrick Crown Court for trial.
