Ronan Lavery KC joins English chambers as door tenant

Northern Ireland barrister Ronan Lavery KC has joined 23es Chambers as a door tenant.

Mr Lavery has been practising as a barrister for 33 years, 15 of which have been in Silk. His fields of practice are “unusually diverse which demonstrate his versatility and experience as an advocate”, 23es said.

Following pupillage at 2 Temple Gardens in London, Mr Lavery practised at the Bar of Northern Ireland in almost every area of law, more recently focussing on public law and constitutional and civil rights.

He is a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland, the Bar of Ireland and the Bar of England and Wales, and a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the University of Heidelberg.

He has appeared in courts of the highest tier in the UK, Ireland and EU and at least 50 cases before Northern Ireland’s Court of Appeal.

He remains in full-time practice at the Bar of Northern Ireland.
