Pinsent Masons hires Irish funds partner Conor Durkin

Pinsent Masons has hired funds partner Conor Durkin to lead its funds team in Dublin as it continues to grow its pan-European funds capabilities.

Mr Durkin specialises in investment funds and asset management and regularly advises on the establishment, structuring and operation of funds covering a range of asset classes. He has significant experience advising on the ongoing operation of traditional and alternative investment funds including both QIAIF and UCITS structures.

Joining from Mason Hayes & Curran, where he has been a partner for eight years, his move follows the recruitment of funds partners Dr Jan Saalfrank and Benoît Rose in Luxembourg this year in February and August respectively.

Head of Pinsent Masons’ Dublin office, Ann Lalor, said: “Ireland continues to be an important jurisdiction for investment funds and increasingly for funds and managers targeting private market investments.

“The addition of Conor to the funds team will enable us to further support our multinational client base as part of our growing international funds and asset management practice.”

Mr Durkin added: “This is a fantastic time for me to join Pinsent Masons’ team and to contribute to the development of its funds practice internationally. I’m proud to join such an innovative firm with high ambition and that aligns with my values.”
