Pinsent Masons bolsters Dublin office with new corporate tax partner James Quirke
James Quirke
Pinsent Masons has appointed new partner James Quirke to lead its corporate tax team in Dublin.
Mr Quirke joins from McCann FitzGerald LLP where he became a partner in 2024. As well as a solicitor, Mr Quirke is a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor.
Mr Quirke advises on all aspects of corporate taxation, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border tax planning, and corporate restructurings, both domestic and international. He also advises on employment-related taxes, tax issues arising in the context of insolvency and property-related matters, and the tax implications of doing business in and from Ireland.
Lisa Carty, head of Pinsent Masons’ Dublin office, commented, “Tax planning and compliance have become increasingly complex in recent years, for both multinational businesses with operations in Ireland and Irish companies conducting business in Ireland and in other countries. The introduction of the OECD pillar two regime has raised the stakes for our clients. James’ expertise will be an invaluable support to both domestic clients and those with cross-border corporate structures who are looking to run their organisations compliantly and efficiently.”
Mr Quirke added, “Since establishing its Dublin office in 2017, Pinsent Masons has quickly established itself as one of the most successful multinational firms when it comes to delivering for businesses operating in and from Ireland. Its full-service offering and global footprint will be a huge asset to the companies that I work with.”
