Philip Lee has announced the promotion of Anna Hickey and Rebecca McEvoy to partners in the firm’s corporate group.

The firm said the appointments reflect the continued expansion of its corporate transactional practice in response to buoyant M&A and consolidation activity in the Irish and UK markets.

Ms Hickey advises Irish and international clients on a spectrum of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, commercial contracts, reorganisations and strategic matters.

She is part of the firm’s foreign direct investment practice and US business group, regularly advising companies on doing business in and into Ireland. She is also a member of the firm’s immigration and not-for-profit practices, with a focus on advising foundations, semi-state entities and NGOs on corporate governance matters.

Ms McEvoy has broad experience in representing domestic and international clients on a range of commercial and corporate matters. Her practice focuses mainly on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, commercial contracts, corporate restructurings, corporate governance and commercial advisory matters.

She joined the firm in 2020 following the merger of McEvoy Corporate Law with Philip Lee.

Andreas McConnell, head of the corporate group at Philip Lee, said: “I am delighted to welcome Anna and Rebecca to the partnership. Their capabilities, expertise and client focus have contributed significantly to the success of our corporate transactions practice in recent years.

“The promotions also represent the firm’s commitment to investing in talent in order to provide first-class legal advice to our clients.

“I wish Anna and Rebecca every success in their new roles.”
