Orbitus opens new Tralee HQ with Stingray Labs
Law, tax and HR advisory firm Orbitus has opened its new shared headquarters with Stingray Labs in Tralee, Co Kerry.
Government ministers Jack Chambers and Norma Foley attended the opening of the 5,000 sq ft premises, now home to more than 50 staff across legal, tax, HR, case management, technology and product development.
Stingray Labs is a venture studio focused on the legal and financial services industry, which created digital conveyancing platform Beam in collaboration with Orbitus.
The two teams are now preparing to launch Sale Ready, a new digital platform to streamline the home-selling process.
Orbitus was represented at the office launch by partners Tommy Walsh, Jennifer Downing, Darren Fitzgerald and Ben Hardy, along with head of Orbitus HR Jennifer O’Brien and head of innovation Mike Stack.
Speaking at the event, Mr Chambers, the minister for public expenditure, infrastructure, public service reform and digitalisation, said: “Orbitus is a really positive story for Tralee.
“It’s impressive to see a company growing and creating professional jobs right here in the town centre. Their expansion reflects the wider economic momentum in the south-west, and it shows why professional services can and should be embedded in our regions.
“That’s exactly the kind of balanced regional growth we want to drive as a government.”
Orbitus partner Mr Walsh said: “This building once stood empty, and today it houses more than 50 people across Orbitus and Stingray Labs.
“Our ambition is simple: to build great careers, great technology and great services in the heart of Tralee.”
Stingray Labs COO Brian Stephenson added: “Our mission is to take weeks of uncertainty out of the housing journey.
“By building our own technology, we’re able to move faster, solve real problems, and grow teams of exceptional talent right here in Kerry.”
