Legal and tax advisory firm Orbitus has launched a new HR advisory division led by Jennifer O’Brien.

In her new role as head of HR, Ms O’Brien will provide companies and employers nationwide with specialist HR services and support.

She will work closely with Orbitus’ legal and tax teams to offer integrated guidance, ensuring client HR processes are aligned with relevant legal, tax, and compliance requirements.

The appointment follows the firm’s recent relocation to a state-of-the-art office space in Tralee, a significantly expanded facility designed to support its increasing operational needs and growing team, alongside its Cork headquarters.

Orbitus provides specialist guidance to businesses and individuals across corporate law, taxation, compliance, and strategic planning.

Its new HR division adds expertise in HR strategy, talent management, and organisational development to the group’s advisory offering.

Ben Hardy, partner and head of commercial at Orbitus, said: “We are pleased to welcome Jennifer as Head of our new HR division.

“Jennifer brings a wealth of experience in corporate HR leadership and recruitment expertise, having developed people strategies across multiple sectors for more than 10 years.

“Her experience in shaping organisational culture, implementing HR systems, and supporting talent development will be invaluable as we establish this new service within Orbitus.

“Jennifer is ideally placed to lead the division, ensuring that our clients receive practical, informed, and effective HR support alongside our legal and tax advisory services.

“We warmly welcome Jennifer to the Orbitus team and look forward to working with her as we develop this new division”.

Ms O’Brien said: “I am delighted to join Orbitus, a firm with such a strong reputation for delivering excellent legal and tax services.

“It’s a privilege to be trusted to lead the new HR division, and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience in HR strategy and people development to help shape this service.

“I’m proud to be part of this next chapter for Orbitus and excited to work with the team to develop bespoke HR solutions that help our clients manage their people and business challenges more effectively.”

Ms O’Brien joins Orbitus following an extensive career with recruitment and talent firm Fastnet, where she progressed from talent consultant to director of people and culture.

Throughout her career, Ms O’Brien has enjoyed multiple on-site secondments within the multinational pharmaceutical industry, including most recently seven-year tenure as HR business partner with pharmaceutical company LEO Pharma.

She holds a bachelor of commerce in management and marketing from University College Cork and a Master’s in human resource management from Munster Technological University.
