Newcode Ireland joined an international community of legal practitioners, policymakers, and business leaders to discuss the future of dispute resolution at Dublin International Disputes Week 2026 last week in Dublin.
Organised by Ireland for Law, the programme provided a forum for discussion and collaboration on international best practice, while also highlighting Ireland’s depth of expertise in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and regulatory enforcement.
Newcode.ai’s founder and CEO, Maged Helmy, contributed as a speaker to the discussion on the issues arising where litigation and technological advances meet.
Speaking just after the event, Mr Helmy said: “Dublin International Disputes Week provided an important forum to discuss the legal implications of rapidly advancing technologies, including AI. Bringing the legal and technology communities together is essential to address questions of accountability, transparency, and trust, while ensuring innovation delivers real value for legal professionals and their clients.”
Among the topics that were discussed, the DIDW 2026 programme explored the realities of regulating social media, the changing dynamics of shareholder disputes, and legal implications of rapidly advancing technologies, including AI.
The speakers at the event included the chair of Ireland for Law, former Taoiseach Enda Kenny; Attorney General Rossa Fanning SS, European Commissioner Michael McGrath and President of the High Court Mr Justice David Barniville.
