Michael Flatley secures court injunction ahead of Dublin arena show

Lord of the Dance creator Michael Flatley has obtained an injunction from Northern Ireland’s High Court which he says will allow a 30th anniversary show at Dublin’s 3Arena to go ahead.

The injunction granted by Mr Justice Simpson restrains Switzer Consulting Limited from “interfering with, seeking to obstruct, issuing press statements or public communications” or taking any other action which would prevent Mr Flatley from running the show in Dublin tomorrow.

The company has also been ordered to deliver “all the set and associated materials and costumes” to Mr Flatley.

Mr Flatley is in an ongoing legal dispute with Switzer Consulting Limited, which accuses him of breaching a July 2024 agreement. He denies this and claims to have 100 per cent ownership of Switzer.

The wider dispute is due to be heard in court in April 2026.

In a statement yesterday, Mr Flatley said: “I welcome the decision of the High Court in Belfast this evening, presided over by the Honourable Mr Justice Simpson, to grant an injunction to stop Switzer Limited from further disrupting my shows.”

He added: “The show must go on, and it will go on.”
