Two trainees from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) have triumphed in the regional heat of the Louis M. Brown and Forrest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition.

Ellen Forester and Nichola Coghlan came top in the contest, which was held at Law Society House in Belfast on Friday.

The annual competition, which is organised and hosted by the Law Society of Northern Ireland, included teams from the School of Law at Ulster University and Queens University and the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and the Graduate School of Professional Legal Education.

Ms Forester and Ms Coghlan will now go on to represent Northern Ireland in the international finals to be held in Canada in April 2016.
