Lawyer among two appointments to Glencree board

Michelle Drury and Maria Cleary have been appointed to the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation’s board of directors.
Ms Drury, a member of the Bar of Ireland as well as a qualified solicitor, brings over 12 years’ legal experience in corporate governance, finance, commercial, employment, data protection, consumer, technology, regulatory and contract law.
Her legal expertise in multiple jurisdictions, including with leading commercial law firms in Sydney, Dublin and the Cayman Islands, combines with her contribution to international human rights and humanitarian efforts through her work with the Adara Group, Goal and the Global Legal Action Network.
She currently leads transitional justice and pro bono rule of law and access to justice programmes at Irish Rule of Law International (IRLI).
Ms Cleary has over a decade of senior leadership experience in human rights and international development including in post-conflict settings in Bosnia, Rwanda, Georgia and Guatemala. Her areas of expertise include strategic development, funding, change management and governance.
She brings specialist training in negotiation, change management, project management, innovation and governance. Her academic credentials include a first-class international Master’s in economy, state and society, in addition to her ongoing studies in human rights and social policy.
