The Law Society of Northern Ireland yesterday hosted a seminar considering competition law now and after Brexit.

Those attending had an opportunity to hear from a number of key note speakers including Andrea Coscelli, chief executive of the Competition and Markets Authority, who spoke on the powers, priorities and the opportunities and challenges presented by Brexit.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s national competition authority which aims to make markets work well for consumers, businesses and the economy.

The seminar also heard from Micaela Diver, partner in the litigation and dispute resolution team at A&L Goodbody in Belfast, who provided a practitioner’s perspective on the subject.
