The roundtable focused on the opportunities and challenges facing the sector – including how devolution in Northern Ireland might impact the delivery of its legal services – and the potential for innovation through law tech and AI.

Alongside representatives from the Society and The Bar of Northern Ireland, the event brought together colleagues from Ulster University, The Department for Infrastructure and The Departmental Solicitor’s Office.

A spokesperson for the Law Society said: “Following the release of the Society’s guidance on the Responsible use of Artificial Intelligence earlier this year, we look forward to furthering our work with the MoJ to ensure that Northern Ireland is at the forefront of this exciting and evolving sector.”
