The Dublin Festival of History runs every year organized by Dublin City Council and Dublin City Libraries in partnership with Dublin City Council Culture Company.

Founded by royal charter granted by King Henry VIII IN 1541 the King’s Inns is Ireland’s oldest school of law and one of the oldest professional educational institutions in the English-speaking world. The King’s Inns building was designed by James Gandon, also responsible for the Custom House and the Four Courts. It hosts a library collection dating back to the eighteenth century.

Now in its fourteenth year the King’s Inns will be participating in the Dublin Festival of History this year hosting an illustrated talk on the history of the Inns on 28th September. There will be limited spaces and bookings will open the first week in September.
