#InPictures: Gardaí best Limerick solicitors in charity football match

Limerick solicitors narrowly lost to members of An Garda Síochána in their annual charity football match, which raised over €2,400 for Cliona’s Foundation.
The annual bout, organised by the Limerick Solicitors Bar Association (LSBA), took place on 13 June 2025 and ended 3-2 to the gardaí after a last-minute winner.
Derek Walsh, partner at MHP Sellors, said Cliona’s Foundation was a “very unique” charity, which supports families with the non-medical costs of caring for a seriously sick child.
“These are costs that those of us with healthy children do not have to think about,” he said.
This year so far, Cliona’s Foundation has provided €237,500 of support to 95 families across 27 counties.
