#InPictures: Full house for Financial Services Bar Association conference

The Financial Services Bar Association (FSBA) welcomed practitioners to a packed-out conference in the Dublin Dispute Resolution Centre earlier this month.

Attorney General Rossa Fanning SC made introductory remarks at the conference on 15 February 2024.

A session on “Consumer Claims in Financial Services Law” included barristers Patrick O’Reilly SC and Úna Tighe SC, Mike Hawthorne of Pinsent Masons in London, and Colm Kincaid, director of consumer protection at the Central Bank of Ireland.

The second session on “Anti-Money Laundering: Criminal, Civil & Regulatory Liability” heard from FSBA chair John Breslin SC, A&L Goodbody partner Chloe Culleton, Dentons partner Ciara FitzGerald and Western Union’s assistant GC Feidhlimidh Wrafter.

The third and final session on “Criminal Enforcement of Financial Services Law” heard from Remy Farrell SC, Professor Barry Rider of Jesus College, Cambridge, Shelley Horan BL and Ted Harding SC.
