Kilkenny Law Festival finished strong on Sunday starting the day with ‘The Sunday Papers – Cross Examined’ and ending with a screening of The Lonely Battle of Thomas Reid. In between Garda historian Paul Maher gave a talk on ‘Prisoners of the Revolution - The Defence of the Realm and the Restoration of Order’ and Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB)’s head of legal, Frank Cassidy spoke on ‘How the State takes Gangster’s Money’, that it may be easier to beat a criminal charge than it is to beat the CAB.
